Skip Scobey unless you are driving the Hi-Line or have family in the area: one hour at the Daniels County Museum is enough, then move on.
Scobey is a farming town of about 1,000 people in northeast Montana, the county seat of Daniels County. Its only real draw for a traveller is the Daniels County Museum and Pioneer Town, a 20-acre outdoor collection of historic buildings. The town has no chain hotels, limited dining and is a long drive from any airport. Most travellers pass through on Montana Highway 5 or 13 and do not stop overnight.
