Sarandë
Give Sarandë 3 nights: one for the town and Ksamil, one full day at Butrint, one for the Blue Eye or a beach. Skip it as a base if you want quiet in July–August.
Sarandë is the southern coast's transport hub: a horseshoe bay facing Corfu, a promenade that fills every evening, and the fastest route to Butrint and Ksamil. The town itself is a half-day; the value is in what sits within 30 km of it. Come in June or September for warm sea without the August crush.
