Spend a half‑day in San Jose to see the cathedral and park; one night in a budget hotel if you need a rest before heading to Cabanatuan.

San Jose is a small highway hub at the foot of the Caraballo Mountains. Its main attractions – Saint Joseph Cathedral, Tayabo Nature Park and nearby Palaspas Falls – are close to the town centre, so a half‑day visit covers the highlights. Overnight accommodation is useful for travelers catching early buses to the Cagayan Valley or Aurora.
