Route 992 is the Metropolitan Transit System bus that links the airport terminals with downtown. It runs frequently through the day and stops near Santa Fe Depot and along Broadway, which puts you within walking distance of most downtown hotels. You need exact change or a reloadable fare card, and the route is less useful late at night.
Taxis wait at marked ranks outside each terminal. The ride to downtown is short, but the airport sits on Harbor Drive, so the same 5 km can take 10 minutes or 30 depending on the hour. Ride-hailing cars pick up in signposted zones rather than at the kerb outside arrivals — follow the app's directions.
