Morgan Hill
One night is enough unless you are hiking Henry Coe: base downtown, drive in, and treat it as a stop between San Jose and Gilroy.
Morgan Hill is a flat, 45,000-person commuter town at the southern end of Silicon Valley, on US 101 about 20 miles south of San Jose. Its pull is open space — Henry Coe State Park, Anderson Lake — plus a small downtown of restaurants and tasting rooms. Caltrain stops here only at peak commute hours, so a car makes the trip far easier.
