Spend a half‑day in Palo to see the MacArthur Landing Memorial and Palo Cathedral; stay overnight only if you need a rest before heading to Tacloban or Ormoc.

Palo is Leyte's historic and religious centre, famous for the MacArthur Landing Memorial National Park and the 16th‑century Palo Cathedral. It is a convenient stop on the Maharlika Highway between Tacloban and Ormoc, with bus and UV‑Express connections. One half‑day covers the main sights; a night is optional for a relaxed departure the next morning.
