Pineville is a small county seat (pop. ~650) on the Guyandotte River in southern West Virginia. Its downtown has a stone courthouse and a riverside rock formation called Castle Rock, but the real draw is nearby: Twin Falls Resort State Park and the Hatfield-McCoy ATV trail system. Most travellers use it as a supply stop or overnight base, not a destination.
