Fumaça
Do a day trip to Fumaça from Resende or Rio; drive 1.5–2 h each way, spend a few hours at the waterfall and return the same day.
Fumaça is a tiny village centred on a waterfall. The road is rough (12 km tarmac, 20 km off‑road) and takes about 1½ h each way, so a single day is enough. Camp on‑site or stay in Resende.
