Half-day trip from Copenhagen: the S-train takes 45 minutes. See the Viking museum and Willumsen's collection, then return or continue to Elsinore or Hillerød.
Frederikssund is a small town on Roskilde Fjord in North Zealand, reachable by S-train from Copenhagen in 45 minutes. Its main draws are the J.F. Willumsen Museum, a Viking-age reenactment site, and a compact pedestrian street. Most visitors use it as a half-day trip or a stop between Copenhagen and Hundested.
