Zamboanguita
Zamboanguita is a quiet seaside town best as a 1–2 night base for diving Apo Island and the Wednesday Malatapay market; skip it if you only want Dumaguete's nightlife.
Zamboanguita is a small coastal town south of Dumaguete on Negros Oriental's southern coast. Its main draws are the Wednesday Malatapay market (3 km north) and easy boat access to Apo Island. Most travellers use it as a quiet base for diving or a stop between Dumaguete and Siaton. The town itself is walkable, but you'll need a tricycle for the market or outlying resorts.
