Addison
Give Addison one night, not three: it is a restaurant strip with a festival park, 20 min from Dallas by DART Silver Line.
Addison is a 4 sq mi suburb north of Dallas with about 170 restaurants, a walkable town centre at Addison Circle and its own airport for private planes. It is a base for eating and for the July 3 fireworks, not for sightseeing. Most travellers sleep here for one or two nights and drive or ride the Silver Line into Dallas.

Getting around
A car is the easy option: Belt Line Road and the Dallas North Tollway cross the city. DART Silver Line stops at Addison Transit Center and Knoll Trail, and bus 400 runs the length of Belt Line Road. Sidewalks exist on most streets, and the Les Lacs Linear Park trail is about 4.3 km.
