Tåsinge
Spend a half day to see Valdemar Castle and a quick walk around the village; one full day covers the island comfortably.
Tåsinge is a small island in the South Funen Archipelago, reachable by road 9 from Funen. Its main attraction is Valdemar Castle, open May‑September. With a car or bike you can tour the island in a day, making it a good side‑trip from Funen or Langeland.

Rules in force · 7Non-EU visitors get 90 days in any rolling 180-day window…
- Europe ↗Non-EU visitors get 90 days in any rolling 180-day window, counted across all 29 Schengen states together — not per country; the Entry/Exit System now logs each crossing, so an overstay is detected automatically.
- Europe ↗On the first Schengen entry since EES began, non-EU travellers give four fingerprints and a face photo at the border instead of a passport stamp; there is nothing to apply for or pay in advance.
- Nordic countries ↗Decide light or dark before anything else: summer trips (June–August) and aurora trips (September–March in the Arctic) need different countries, clothes and bases.
- Nordic countries ↗Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the Faroes sell stronger alcohol only in state shops with short hours; buy before evening and before Sundays and holidays.
- Denmark ↗Denmark is in the EU and the Schengen area. Check the entry rules for your passport on official sources; Greenland and the Faroe Islands have separate entry arrangements.
- Denmark ↗Bike lanes are busy fast lanes: do not walk or stand in them, and signal before you stop if you cycle.
- Denmark ↗Denmark is close to cashless: cards and phone payments work almost everywhere, even for small amounts.
Entry rules depend on your passport. Full visa guide

Watch out
Safety
- Valdemar Castle opens May–September only; outside those months the park and village are the main stops.
- Road 9 is the island's spine: expect cyclists and slow tractors, and park only in marked bays.
- Accommodation on the island is thin; summer weekends book out weeks ahead.
