Tarata
Do a day trip from Cochabamba to Tarata, spend 4–5 h visiting colonial sites; no overnight stay needed.
Tarata is a small colonial town in Cochabamba department, 29 km north of Cochabamba. Its historic centre, cathedral and convent are walkable, and the San Severino festival in late November adds cultural interest. A few hours are enough to see the main sights; overnight accommodation is not required.
