Burrillville is a rural town of about 16,000 people in the northwest corner of Rhode Island, split into seven old mill villages — Pascoag, Harrisville, Mapleville, Nasonville, Mohegan, Oakland and Glendale. There is no train and no downtown hotel strip: you come by car for ponds, trails, a 1933 theatre and a handful of family restaurants, and you sleep in a farm B&B or a campground. Treat it as a one-night countryside stop between Providence and the Massachusetts line, not a base for a Rhode Island trip.
