Jundiaí
Go for one night as a fruit-farm and winery stop between São Paulo and Campinas, or skip it if you want beaches or colonial towns.
Jundiaí is a mid-sized city 60 km from São Paulo with a working CPTM train station, a compact historic centre and a ring of open farms and small wineries on the Circuito das Frutas. The Serra do Japi forest sits just south. Most travellers use it as a half-day or one-night break on the São Paulo–Campinas axis rather than a destination in itself.
