Chagrin Falls is a small village in Cuyahoga County, about 30–40 minutes by car east of downtown Cleveland. The draw is a single compact block: a 6 m waterfall dropping beside Main Street, a railed walkway over the gorge, independent shops and a handful of long-running restaurants. There is no station and no airport, so you need a car or a rideshare. Most visitors come for an afternoon from Cleveland; a night here buys you an early walk and a slower dinner, not more sights.

Safety

Very low street crime in the village. The real risks are icy stairs and the gorge walkway in winter, deer on the roads at dusk, and driving after a couple of drinks on dark two-lane roads.
  • No train or bus station in the village: a car or rideshare is effectively required.
  • Street parking near Main Street fills on weekend afternoons and during fall foliage.
  • The gorge walkway and the stairs by the falls are steep and can be icy from November to March.
  • Restaurant kitchens in a village this size close early on weeknights: check hours before a late drive.
