Come for 2–3 nights if you want fell trails, huskies and quiet; skip if you need nightlife, shops or easy public transport.
Hetta is the main village of Enontekiö, the fell municipality of far northwest Finland, 25 km off the E8 and about 150 km from Kittilä airport. It is a small, spread-out village with a nature centre, marked trails, a husky farm and a low ski hill. Two nights covers the village and the Jyppyrä trails; three nights lets you add a day hike or a husky trip. There is no scheduled air service at the local airfield, so you arrive by car, coach or via Kittilä.

Getting around
The village is spread out along the roads, so walking between the centre, the nature centre and the lake takes 15–30 min each way. A car is the practical choice; taxis are few. Coaches run on the E8 corridor via Palojoensuu, 25 km away, with waiting time to check. In winter, ski trails and snowmobile routes connect parts of the village.
