Aylmer is a town of about 7,700 people in Elgin County, 40 km south of London and 190 km southwest of Toronto. It is farmland country: a Mennonite and Old Order Amish community, a Tuesday sales barn and flea market, a heritage honey farm, and a spring stopover for tundra swans heading to the Arctic. There is almost no hotel stock in town, so most travellers visit on a half-day and sleep in St. Thomas or Port Stanley.

- The Tuesday market runs May 1–Oct 31 only; other days the sales barn area is quiet.
