Go for one night if you are driving PTH 3 between Winnipeg and the US border; skip it as a destination on its own.
Killarney is a town of about 2,400 people in southwestern Manitoba, built around Killarney Lake and the farmland of the Turtle Mountain area. It is a lake-and-museum stop on the PTH 3 corridor, one hour south of Brandon and roughly 2.5 hours southwest of Winnipeg. Two nights covers the lake, the museums and a golf round; one night is enough if you are only breaking up a drive.

You need a car. The town is small enough to walk between Broadway Avenue and the lake in about 15 minutes, but the golf courses, the border crossings and any day trip are all outside town. No local bus service; taxis are limited, so plan your own vehicle or a lift.
