Digos, the provincial capital of Davao del Sur, is known as the Mango Capital of the Philippines. It lies 66 km south of Davao City and 89 km north of General Santos, making it a short bus ride from either hub. The town offers a modest city centre, a few beaches, a swimming pool and local markets, all reachable by cheap motor tricycles.
