Fang
Spend 1–2 days in Fang: hot springs, Huai Luk Royal Project and a quick Thaton trip; travel from Chiang Mai by bus (≈3 h, 140 THB).
Fang is a small town in northern Chiang Mai province, reachable by a 3‑hour bus from Chiang Mai. Its main draws are the Fang Hot Springs, the Huai Luk Royal Project and nearby temples; a short songthaew ride reaches Thaton. One night is enough for the hot springs, a second day lets you explore the project and nearby attractions.
