Brumado
Half a day to see the Igreja Matriz and Lavandeiras Grotto, then move on to Vitória da Conquista or Lençóis. Not a base.
Brumado is a small mining and cattle town in the Central South of Bahia, 160 km southwest of Vitória da Conquista. Its main draws are the 1873 Igreja Matriz, the Lavandeiras Grotto and a handful of waterfalls. Most travellers pass through on the way to the Chapada Diamantina or the coast.
