Harderwijk
One night is enough: Dolfinarium plus the old harbour and Vischpoort, then move on to the Veluwe or Elburg. Skip it if you want nature, not a marine park.
Harderwijk is a small Hanseatic town on the Veluwemeer, 15 minutes' walk from its station, and most visitors come for one thing: the Dolfinarium, Europe's largest marine mammal park. The medieval centre is compact — Grote Kerk, the old fish market, the Vischpoort gate and a yacht harbour — and can be walked in half a day. Treat it as a one-night stop between the Veluwe and Flevoland, or a day trip from Apeldoorn or Zwolle.
