Ayer Hitam
A 30-minute stop for ceramic shopping and the Tropical Village miniature park, not an overnight stay. Pass through on the way between Johor Bahru and Muar or Batu Pahat.
Ayer Hitam is a roadside town in Johor known for its pottery and ceramic outlets. The main draw is the Tropical Village, a miniature park with world landmarks. Most travellers stop for 30–60 minutes while driving the trunk road between Johor Bahru and Muar or Batu Pahat. The town has one basic hotel but no reason to sleep here unless you are on a tight budget.
