Mount Olive is a small town of about 2,100 people on historic Route 66 in Central Illinois. It has a handful of antique shops, a bakery and a few bars, but no major attractions. Most travellers pass through in under an hour. The town works as a quick break on the drive between Springfield (about 40 min north) and St. Louis (about 50 min south).
