Tak Bai is a tiny border town on the Southern Gulf Coast, 3 km from the Malaysia crossing. Most visitors only need a few hours to clear immigration, take a short boat ride across the Golok River and visit the historic Wat Chonlathara Singhe or walk to nearby Ko Yao island.
