Skip as a base. Use Sainte-Julie as a 2–3 hour service stop off Autoroute 20, or sleep here only if Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park is your goal.
Sainte-Julie is a suburban town of about 30,000 on the south shore of the St. Lawrence, 35 km from Montréal and 231 km from Québec City. It sits beside Mont-Saint-Bruno National Park and is built around Autoroute 20 services, big-box stores and a strip of local restaurants. There is no old town to walk and no reason to give it more than half a day unless you are hiking the park or breaking a drive.
