Hahn is a small Hunsrück village whose name is on Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN), a low-cost base about 100 km from Frankfurt and closer to Luxembourg than to Frankfurt. There is no rail link to the terminal, so arrivals depend on buses, a hire car or a taxi. Almost nobody comes here for Hahn itself: you come for a cheap flight, then move on to the Moselle, the Rhine or Trier.

Getting around
The terminal and the hamlet are small enough to walk, but the village sits on the far side of the runway from the terminal, so you cannot walk between them. Without a car you rely on the airport buses, a taxi or a shuttle. A hire car from the terminal is the practical way to reach the Moselle, Rhine and Hunsrück villages.
