Visit Fritch as a day stop for Alibates Flint Quarries and Lake Meredith; 4–6 h total, no overnight needed.
Fritch is a very small Texas town on Highway 136. Its main draws are the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument (7 mi SW) and Lake Meredith National Recreation Area (5 mi SE). With a car you can see both sites, camp or fish, and return to Amarillo the same day. There are no hotels in town; lodging is limited to a single inn and campgrounds.
