Hazard is a small Appalachian coal town and the seat of Perry County. Its main draws are a peculiar local landmark (the Mother Goose House) and a local history museum. Most travellers pass through on the Hal Rogers Parkway between London and the Virginia border. The surrounding hills offer hiking, but the town itself has limited services and no public transport. Plan for a short stop, not an overnight stay.
