Atambua
Half a day is enough: market, then Pasir Putih beach. Sleep one night only if you need rest before the Mota'ain border crossing to Dili.
Atambua is a small hill town in West Timor, about 3–4 h by road from Kefamenanu and the same from Dili across the Mota'ain border. It is a transit stop, not a destination: the market, Pasir Putih beach and Kolam Susuk fill half a day, and most travellers pass through without sleeping here.
