Chateaubelair
Half a day to see the falls and rock carvings, or a full day if you hike La Soufrière. Not a base — sleep in Kingstown or on Bequia.
Chateaubelair is a fishing village on St Vincent's west coast, the closest settlement to La Soufrière volcano. Its draws are Trinity Falls, Dark View Falls and Kalinago rock carvings. Most visitors pass through on a day trip from Kingstown (1 h by bus) or use it as the trailhead for the volcano hike. The village itself has one guesthouse and a beachfront bar; there is no reason to stay longer than one night.
