Know before you go
- Named for a cinema that once stood here (Rainbow Cinema, now gone), the street is Amman's best-known walking and café strip, restored as a pedestrian-friendlier zone with wider pavements.
- It is a street to graze and sit, not a single sight: cafés, small galleries, book and craft shops line both sides.
- The famous stone steps (Al-Rainbow Street stairs) drop from the street down toward Duke's Diwan and the older houses of Jabal Amman — good for photos, a real climb back up.
