Skip Belcourt unless you have a specific reason to visit the Turtle Mountain Reservation or the Sky Dancer Casino. A half-day stop is enough.
Belcourt is the only town on the Turtle Mountain Reservation in north-central North Dakota. It has a cultural centre, a casino hotel and a few lakes for primitive camping. Most travellers pass through on US 281 between Dunseith and Rolla.
