One day is enough to see Ockelbo’s garden, steam‑train and town centre; add a night only if you want a relaxed stay at Raggsocka Logi.
Ockelbo is a tiny Gästrikland town of about 6 000 people. Its main attractions – the century‑old Wij Gardens, the seasonal JTJ steam‑train in Jädraås and a handful of cafés – are within walking distance. A commuter train from Gävle arrives hourly, so a day‑trip works well; a night adds little beyond a comfortable bed.
