Hunstanton is a small seaside town on the north Norfolk coast, one of the few places on England's east coast where you can watch the sun set over the sea. The town and adjoining Old Hunstanton village share red-and-white striped cliffs, a sandy beach and a handful of family attractions. It works best as a one-night base or a half-day stop on the Coasthopper coast route; the sights are compact and most visitors walk everywhere.

Getting around

The town is small enough to walk: beach, cliffs, Sea Life and shops are all within about 20 minutes on foot. The Coasthopper bus runs along the coast to Wells-next-the-Sea, Cromer and King's Lynn; use it for villages and day trips. A car helps for outlying beaches and pubs.
