Montague
Give Montague one night as a base for the eastern end of PEI: Roma at Three Rivers, the Confederation Trail and Cardigan. Skip it if you only have two days on the island.
Montague is the service town for eastern Kings County, about 2,000 people on the Montague River, and the largest centre east of Charlottetown. It is not a sight in itself: it is a cheap, quiet base for the Roma at Three Rivers historic site, the start of the Confederation Trail and the beaches and wharves of the east end. One night is enough; two if you cycle.
