Sagay
Spend 1–2 days in Sagay if you have pre-arranged boat access to the marine reserve; otherwise, skip or treat as a half-day stop for the festival.
Sagay City, population ~146,000, sits on Negros Occidental’s coast. Its main draw is the Sagay Marine Reserve, the Philippines’ largest marine protected area, plus the March Sinigayan Festival. The town is reachable by a 2‑hour bus from Bacolod, but the reserve requires a separate boat trip (check availability). Most town sights are walkable or a short tricycle ride, making a half‑day to full‑day visit feasible.
