Bayombong is the provincial capital of Nueva Vizcaya, a small town of about 68 000 people. Its main attractions – the cathedral, provincial capitol, Bangan Hill park and a few agritourism farms – are clustered near the poblacion and can be visited in a few hours. One overnight lets you sample local food and rest before heading to nearby Solano or Mount Pulag.
