Lumsden is a small Qu'Appelle Valley town 30 km northwest of Regina on Highway 11, the Regina–Saskatoon road. It works as a half-day or day trip from Regina: a valley-edge town with a summer museum, a marsh boardwalk, a corn maze in season and a distillery. There is one hotel and a provincial park campground, so most travellers sleep in Regina and drive out.
