Panglao Town
Use Panglao Town as a quiet base for the island: skip the busy Alona strip and stay here for cheaper beds and local food. Half a day is enough to see the town itself.
Panglao Town is the municipal centre of Panglao Island, smaller and calmer than the resort strip at Alona Beach. It has a seashell museum, a few local eateries and Momo Beach nearby. Most visitors pass through on the way to Alona or use it as a budget base for exploring the island. One night covers the town; add days for the beaches and island tours.
