Village at Blue Mountain is a pedestrian resort village at the base of Blue Mountain, 11 km west of Collingwood and about 90 minutes by car from Toronto. It is the third-busiest ski area in Canada by lift tickets, with 42 runs, 16 lifts and 3 terrain parks, and it runs year-round with golf, biking, ropes courses and caving. Almost everything worth doing sits inside the village or on the hill above it, so you sleep where you play.

Getting around

The village is walkable end to end in about 10 minutes. A resort shuttle links the village, base lodges and chairlifts. Colltrans runs buses from Collingwood; a winter-only shuttle runs from Toronto (late December to March). A car is the practical way in and out.

Very safe for tourists; the real risks are winter driving on Highway 26, icy village walkways, and ski or bike injuries. Ski within your level and wear a helmet.
  • Winter weekends and holidays: lift lines and village parking fill early, so arrive before opening.

  • Apr–May and Nov are shoulder seasons with limited lifts and closed businesses: check what is open before booking.
