Jilotepec is a small Pueblos Mágicos town in the northwestern corner of Mexico State, about 2 h by bus from Mexico City's north terminal. The colonial centre is compact; the draw is the surrounding country — the Las Peñas climbing and hiking area, the Danxhó reservoir and the Canalejas forest. One night covers it. Two nights only if you climb or ride.
