Nyköping is Södermanland's county seat on the Baltic, about 100 km south-west of Stockholm and roughly an hour by regional train. Safety

Nyköping is a calm small city; the real risks are icy pavements in winter, dark riverside paths at night and the Skavsta transfer if you miss the last bus. Emergency number 112.
  • Skavsta is a budget airport: late arrivals can leave you with no bus, so check the last departure before you book.
