Foz do Iguaçu is a border city and the base for Iguaçu Falls. Plan two nights for the Brazilian falls and either Itaipu Dam or Argentina’s park. Choose three nights if you want both sides of the falls and Itaipu without rushing. The centre is a practical base; attractions are spread out.

Bus 120 links the centre, airport, Parque das Aves and the national park; the fare is R$5 in the available source, but check current fares and schedules.
