Chipping Campden is a small wool town in the far north of Gloucestershire, built on 14th–17th-century Cotswold stone money. The High Street, the 1627 Market Hall and St James' Church fill an afternoon; Hidcote and Kiftsgate gardens sit 3 km north and need a car or a taxi. It is the northern start of the Cotswold Way, so walkers use it as a first or last night.
