Gingoog
Skip Gingoog unless you have a specific reason to visit Tiklas Falls or need a quiet stop between Cagayan de Oro and Butuan: half a day is enough.
Gingoog is a small city in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, known locally as the 'vacation city' for its relaxed pace and Tiklas Falls. Most travellers pass through on the bus route between Cagayan de Oro (3 h) and Butuan (2 h). The city has a supermarket, a few budget hotels and one notable waterfall 20 min from town. It works as a lunch or overnight stop, not a destination.
