Calbiga
Half a day: see Lulugayan Falls, then move on. Not a base — one night if you want to explore the Langun-Gobingob caves.
Calbiga is a small agricultural town on the Pan-Philippine Highway in Samar. Its main draw is Lulugayan Falls, a wide cascade sometimes called 'Mini Niagara', and the Langun-Gobingob cave system, the largest in the Philippines. Most travellers stop for a few hours on the way between Catbalogan and Basey.
