Afonso Cláudio
Half a day to one day: see the symbol rock Pedra Três Pontões, visit a waterfall and the Museum of the Great Wars, then move on to Domingos Martins or Santa Maria de Jetibá.
Afonso Cláudio is a small town in central Espírito Santo, best known for its rock formations and waterfalls. It works as a stopover between Vitória and the mountain towns of Domingos Martins and Santa Maria de Jetibá, or as a half-day detour for hikers and history buffs. Most travellers spend a few hours or one night.
