Quatro Barras
Half a day: walk the Itupava Way or drive the Graciosa Road, then eat lunch and head back to Curitiba. Not a base.
Quatro Barras is a small town in the Grande Curitiba region, best known as the gateway to two historic routes between the plateau and the coast: the 22 km Itupava Way (stone-paved trail from the 1600s) and the Graciosa Road (scenic mountain drive). The town itself has a single sight — the Paróquia de São Sebastião church — and a handful of restaurants. Most travellers use it as a morning or afternoon stop on the way to Morretes or Antonina, not as a destination.
